This traditional stone built Victorian cottage is well equipped in immaculate condition and available for lovely family and dog oriented holidays. Situated in the tranquil and pretty village of Kinloch Rannoch by Loch Rannoch which is 20 miles west of Pitlochry and surrounded by unspoilt highland countryside. The cottage has two double bedrooms (one has an extra single bed), bathroom with shower, well equipped fitted kitchen, dining room and lounge with adjacent "snug"  room whith fold away beds if required. There is also a store or boot room to the rear where there are two cycles for guests to use if they wish. 

We welcome well behaved pets and there are many beautiful walks starting from our doorstep. A small enclosed garden to the front is a pleasant place to sit out on a fine evening and there is a small decking area to the rear, with access from both sides of the cottage. Auchlyne has recently been renovated, it is simply furnished yet comfortable and has a log burning stove in the lounge.  Heating is via electric panel heaters, the windows and doors are double glazed, there is a good WiFi connection and a smart TV. There is also a simply Sky TV package and a video recorder with plenty of family DVD's to watch.

Auchlyne sits on the banks of the River Tummel, first on the left as you cross the old stone bridge and facing west, it enjoys the sun for most of the day. There are lovely views of the bridge and river from one side of the house and of Craig Varr from the rear. The well stocked village shop is just a few meters away and over the bridge, are a restaurant and coffee shop. The busy towns of Pitlochry and Aberfeldy are a 40 minute drive. There is a private parking space to the front of the house. There is a limited public transport service to Pitlochry.

This is a beautiful and unspoilt corner of Scotland with spectacular views and so much to explore. Shiehallion, the imposing conical mountain is close by and Rannoch Moor, an unspoilt wilderness extends from the other end of the loch. The 22 mile, single track road around Loch Rannoch is a beautiful drive or for the energetic, a lovely, quiet and level cycle ride.
